After the success last year we have decided to continue the format known from the former Cap Gemini, Sunday Times, Macallan and Politiken World Pairs: 16 world class pair playing 10 boards against all the other pairs with IMP scoring!

This year we have found an exiting new playing venue: The Casino Copenhagen – the biggest international casino in Northern Europe! Situated in the center of Copenhagen together with the largest hotel in Denmark, Radisson SAS Scandinavian Hotel, we are convinced this will add further to the excitement and spirit of the Hecht Cup.

We start Thursday the 13th with PRO-AM. This will also be a new format since the AMs are buying the PROs on the Internet before the tournament on auction principles. The minimum bet will be 200 Euros. All the bets will be displayed on this site. Place your bet by sending an e-mail to bridge@blakset.dk.

We meet at 16.30 and will start the auction for the main tournament at 17.30 – everybody is invited to bid for the 16 pairs!

After the PRO-AM tournament there will be a buffet for all the participants.

The main event is played Friday 10.50-19.40, Saturday 12.00-19.40 and Sunday 12.00-18.00. Sunday evening all the participants are invited to dinner and party at Peters house. This should give all the players opportunity to have a good time in Copenhagen and the Casino in the evenings.

There will be a prize pool on 14.000 Euros.

Dress code for the whole event: Jacket/tie in the afternoon and black tie in the evening.
